First day of my accident journal.

I was carrying groceries up the stairs, and talking to my friend on the phone at the same time. "ahhhhhh!!!!!" my friend heard over the phone, "what did you do again?"

I was 1 inch away from banging into the wall.

My left feet step on my pants of my right leg. I lost my balance. The weight of the groceries propelled me towards a wall on my right as I tried to lift my right leg up.

I really need to thank god that I have a great reflex. This time the grocery bags banged into the wall but I saved myself in time. Another lucky thing was that I didn't buy any eggs!! Woohoo!

Last time I almost fell off the same stairs. The grocery was to blame too. There were 8 bags of them, 3 two liters of pop in the bags (because I was into Bartending then). As I labourously climbed to the last set of stairs, I felt my balance was shifting to my back. Imagine. In slow motion, the weight of the grocery is pulling you towards the back and if you fall... It's not gonna be pretty. If I attempt to shift my balance to the front by suddenly swing the groceries towards the front I would definately fall (try it with a set of barely lifetable dumbells).
I struggled for 3-4 seconds or so. It felt like an eternity! If you recall from my previous post. Stairs = broken bone. Nooooooo!!!!!! I thought.
I did successfuly climb to the top of the stairs in one piece.
But really, when I was safely there, I felt like I should be thanking everything I could think of. Broken bone, lying in a bunch of groceries, probably covered by some broken eggs and spilled milk...help!! Yek! I think I should even thank YOU!
